Community Living, Inc. is the largest not-for-profit agency in Frederick County providing homes and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Community Living is one of Frederick County’s United Way agencies and has been in existence since 1979. The agency provides permanent neighborhood homes throughout Frederick for more than 80 adults with developmental disabilities (mental retardation), in addition to providing support for another 20 individuals who live on their own or with their families in Frederick County. We are very proud of our residents. Those who can work, do so and earn a paycheck. Many of our residents have complex medical problems and can’t work, so they attend a day care center, while our seniors attend the ROW (Retirement Our Way) day program especially designed for seniors with developmental disabilities. |
